CVE-2026-8719
The WordPress plugin "AI Engine - The Chatbot, AI Framework & MCP" has a vulnerability in version 3.4.9 that allows attackers with subscriber or higher privileges to gain administrator access. This is due to a lack of proper authorization checks, which allows any valid OAuth token to grant access to MCP tools without verifying the user's administrator status. As a result, attackers can use admin-level tools, effectively escalating their privileges to administrator.
