CVE-2026-8181

The Burst Statistics – Privacy-Friendly WordPress Analytics plugin contains a security flaw in versions 3.4.0 through 3.4.1.1, which allows unauthorized access due to an error in how it handles application passwords from the Authorization header in the `is_mainwp_authenticated()` function. As a result, attackers can gain administrator privileges by providing any Basic Authentication password for an existing administrator username, thereby bypassing authentication checks.
