CVE-2026-53674
BuddyPress 14.4.0 has a security flaw that lets attackers manipulate database queries by crafting mention names with special characters. When username compatibility mode is on, these characters are not properly escaped, allowing them to be used in a way that could reveal usernames or cause the system to crash. This happens because certain characters are inserted into a query without being sanitized first.
