CVE-2026-5231
The WP Statistics plugin for WordPress has a security flaw that allows attackers to inject malicious code into the plugin's admin pages. This occurs when an attacker sends a specially crafted URL with an 'utm_source' parameter, which is then copied into the plugin's source_name field without proper filtering. The plugin later displays this unfiltered value in the admin pages, allowing the injected code to execute and potentially causing harm.
Based on public CVE data (MITRE/NVD).
