CVE-2025-53253
The WP Edit plugin for WordPress contains a security flaw that allows malicious code injection through authenticated administrators on affected sites. The vulnerability occurs when the plugin fails to properly scrub input data, enabling attackers with elevated access to embed arbitrary scripts in pages that will run whenever those pages are accessed by users. This issue only affects multi-site installations where unfiltered HTML is restricted.
