CVE-2025-12033
The Simple Banner plugin, used for adding banners or notifications on WordPress websites up to version 3.0.10, is susceptible to stored cross-site scripting when the 'pro_version_activation_code' parameter is exploited. Insufficient input sanitization and output escaping allow authenticated administrators to inject malicious scripts that can be executed by other users visiting affected pages. This vulnerability is relevant only in multi-site configurations where unfiltered_html capabilities are restricted.
Based on public CVE data (MITRE/NVD).
