CVE-2024-5571

The EmbedPress plugin for WordPress versions up to 4.0.1 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in its PDF widget's URL attribute that fails to properly sanitize and escape user input. Authenticated users with contributor-level permissions or higher can inject malicious scripts through this attribute, which will then execute for anyone viewing the affected pages. The vulnerability was fixed in version 4.0.2.
