CVE-2024-5449
The WP Dark Mode plugin versions up to 5.0.4 contains a vulnerability in the wpdm_social_share_save_options function that fails to verify user permissions before allowing modifications. This flaw allows any authenticated user with subscriber-level access or higher to change the plugin's configuration settings without proper authorization. The vulnerability affects all versions prior to 5.0.5, where the capability check was implemented to restrict these administrative functions.
