CVE-2024-4821
The Shortcodes Ultimate plugin for WordPress contains a stored cross-site scripting flaw in the su_lightbox shortcode affecting versions up to 7.1.6. Attackers with contributor-level permissions or higher can inject malicious scripts through inadequately sanitized shortcode attributes, which then execute when site visitors view pages containing the compromised shortcode. The vulnerability stems from a lack of proper input validation and output sanitization on user-supplied attribute values. This issue has been resolved in version 7.1.7 and later.
