CVE-2024-43972
The Pagelayer plugin for WordPress contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in versions up to 1.8.7 that results from inadequate sanitization of inputs and escaping of outputs. Attackers with administrator privileges or higher can inject malicious scripts into pages that execute when other users view those pages. This vulnerability only affects multisite WordPress installations or sites where the unfiltered_html capability has been disabled. The issue was resolved in version 1.8.8.
