CVE-2024-3952
The Advanced Ads plugin for WordPress contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Advanced Ad widget affecting versions up to 1.52.1. Authenticated users with contributor-level permissions or higher can inject malicious scripts through insufficiently sanitized widget attributes that lack proper output escaping. When visitors access pages containing the compromised widget, these injected scripts execute in their browsers. The vulnerability was remedied in version 1.52.2.
