The NextGEN Gallery plugin for WordPress contained a broken access control flaw that allowed unauthenticated or low-privileged users to perform actions requiring higher privileges due to missing authorization checks and nonce validation. This vulnerability was discovered by Peng Zhou and affected all versions before 3.59.1, where the issue was remedied.
