CVE-2024-2771
The Fluent Forms plugin for WordPress contains a privilege escalation vulnerability in its REST API endpoint for managers (versions up to 5.1.16) that lacks proper authorization validation. Attackers without authentication can exploit this flaw to assign administrative privileges to users within the plugin, granting them full access to all configuration options and functionality. Additionally, unauthenticated users can delete existing manager accounts through this same unprotected endpoint. The vulnerability was fixed in version 5.1.17.
