CVE-2024-2688

The EmbedPress plugin for WordPress, in versions up to and including 3.9.12, contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the document widget. Authenticated users with contributor access or higher can inject malicious scripts through insufficiently sanitized widget attributes. When other users view pages containing the injected widget, the scripts execute in their browsers. The vulnerability has been addressed in version 3.9.13.
