CVE-2024-2583
The Shortcodes Ultimate plugin for WordPress contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in its 'note_color' shortcode affecting versions up to 7.0.4, caused by inadequate sanitization and escaping of user-supplied shortcode attributes. Authenticated users with contributor permissions or higher can inject malicious scripts into pages through this shortcode, which then execute for anyone viewing the affected page. The vulnerability has been addressed in version 7.0.5.
