CVE-2024-2428
The Presto Player plugin for WordPress through version 2.2.2 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in its settings functionality. An authenticated attacker with contributor-level permissions or higher can exploit a REST API endpoint that lacks proper authorization checks and fails to sanitize input or escape output, allowing them to inject malicious scripts that execute for any user viewing the affected pages. The vulnerability was fixed in version 2.2.3.
