CVE-2024-1802
The EmbedPress plugin through version 3.9.10 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in its Wistia embed block caused by inadequate sanitization and escaping of user-supplied URL inputs. Attackers with contributor-level or higher permissions can inject malicious scripts into pages that execute when other users view those pages. The vulnerability affects the plugin's ability to safely handle embed URLs in both Gutenberg and Elementor editors.
