CVE-2024-13869
The WPvivid Backup & Migration plugin for WordPress contains a file upload vulnerability in versions through 0.9.112, where the upload_files function fails to properly validate file types. Administrators and higher-privileged users can exploit this to upload malicious files to the server, potentially enabling code execution. The vulnerability is particularly dangerous on NGINX-hosted sites; Apache deployments are protected by existing .htaccess restrictions that block access to the upload directory.
Based on public CVE data (MITRE/NVD).
