CVE-2024-12276
The Ultimate Member plugin for WordPress versions up to 2.9.2 contains a second-order SQL injection vulnerability in its handling of filenames. Authenticated users with file upload capabilities and the ability to modify filenames through third-party file management plugins can inject malicious SQL code into database queries to access sensitive information. The vulnerability stems from improper escaping of user-supplied filename parameters and inadequately prepared SQL statements. While the flaw requires specific conditions including file upload access and filename manipulation abilities, it could allow attackers to extract unauthorized data from the database.
