CVE-2024-12118
The Events Calendar plugin for WordPress contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Event Calendar Link Widget that affects versions 6.9.0 and earlier. An authenticated attacker with at least Contributor-level permissions can inject malicious scripts through the html_tag attribute by exploiting inadequate input sanitization and output escaping. The injected code executes when any user visits a page containing the compromised widget, affecting all site visitors who access the affected content.
