The WPvivid backup and migration plugin for WordPress contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in its admin settings, specifically within the backup path parameter, affecting versions through 0.9.89. The flaw stems from inadequate sanitization of input and escaping of output, allowing administrators to inject malicious scripts that execute when pages are accessed. This vulnerability only impacts WordPress multisite installations or configurations where the unfiltered_html capability has been restricted, and requires an attacker to possess administrator-level or higher privileges.
