CVE-2023-4919
The iframe plugin for WordPress contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability through its shortcode functionality in versions 4.6 and earlier. The flaw stems from inadequate sanitization of user inputs and insufficient escaping of output, allowing authenticated users with at least contributor privileges to embed malicious scripts into pages that execute for visitors viewing those pages. A partial fix was applied in version 4.6, with a complete resolution arriving in version 4.7.
