CVE-2023-49168
The Better Messages plugin for WordPress versions up to 2.4.0 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in its shortcode functionality caused by inadequate sanitization and escaping of user-supplied shortcode attributes. Users with contributor-level access or higher permissions can exploit this flaw to inject malicious scripts into pages, which then execute for any visitor viewing those pages. The vulnerability was resolved in version 2.4.1.
