CVE-2023-40680
Versions of the Yoast SEO plugin earlier than 21.1 contain a cross-site scripting vulnerability that could allow attackers to inject malicious scripts into a website. When visitors access the compromised site, these injected scripts could execute and perform unauthorized actions such as redirects, inject advertisements, or deliver other malicious HTML payloads. The vulnerability was discovered by Rafie Muhammad and has been resolved in version 21.1, which should be installed immediately.
