CVE-2023-40005

The Easy Digital Downloads plugin for WordPress contained a broken access control vulnerability in versions before 3.2.0 that allowed unauthenticated or low-privileged users to perform actions restricted to higher-privileged accounts. The flaw stemmed from missing authorization and authentication checks in certain plugin functions, enabling unauthorized access to sensitive operations. Researcher Nguyen Anh Tien identified and reported this issue, which was resolved in version 3.2.0 and later.
