CVE-2023-25040
The Shortcodes Ultimate plugin contained a cross-site scripting vulnerability that could be exploited to inject malicious scripts into a website, potentially leading to redirects, unwanted advertisements, or arbitrary HTML execution for site visitors. An attacker could leverage this flaw to compromise the integrity of web pages served to users. The vulnerability was remedied in version 5.12.7, and users should upgrade their installations to this version or later to eliminate the risk.
