CVE-2023-23880

ExactMetrics, a Google Analytics plugin for WordPress, contained a cross-site scripting flaw in versions prior to 7.14.2 that could enable attackers to inject malicious code into websites. An attacker exploiting this vulnerability could execute arbitrary scripts in the browsers of site visitors, potentially redirecting users, displaying unwanted advertisements, or injecting other harmful content. The vulnerability was discovered by Rafie Muhammad and patched in version 7.14.2, making an upgrade to that version or later necessary to secure affected installations.
