CVE-2023-0716
The Wicked Folders plugin contains an authorization bypass vulnerability in its ajax_edit_folder function affecting versions 2.18.16 and earlier. Authenticated users with subscriber-level access or higher can invoke this function without proper permission validation, allowing them to modify folder structures that should only be editable by administrators. The vulnerability stems from missing capability checks on the vulnerable function. Users should upgrade to version 2.18.17 or later to resolve this issue.
