CVE-2023-0709
The Metform plugin for Elementor versions up to 3.3.0 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the 'mf_last_name' shortcode, which fails to properly escape user-supplied form data before displaying it. Authenticated users with at least contributor access can inject malicious scripts that persist in the database and execute when other users view pages containing the vulnerable shortcode with a specific submission ID in the URL. While the injected code remains stored on the site, it requires victims to click a specially crafted link to trigger the attack.
