The Easy Digital Downloads plugin versions before 2.11.6 lacked adequate CSRF protections on the payment notes insertion functionality. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to trick an authenticated administrator into adding arbitrary notes to payments without their knowledge or consent through a cross-site request forgery attack.
