CVE-2021-25032
The PublishPress Capabilities plugin before version 2.3.1 lacks proper authorization and CSRF protection when modifying plugin settings through the init hook, and fails to validate that updated options actually belong to the plugin. This allows unauthenticated attackers to modify arbitrary blog options, including changing the default user role to administrator and granting newly registered users administrative privileges.
