CVE-2021-24356
The Simple 301 Redirects by BetterLinks plugin through version 2.0.3 contained a security flaw in its AJAX handler for the activate_plugin action that allowed authenticated users to activate any installed plugin on the site. The vulnerability existed because the plugin failed to properly verify user capabilities and inadequately validated the request nonce, enabling attackers with basic authentication access to execute unauthorized plugin activation. This issue was resolved in version 2.0.4.
Based on public CVE data (MITRE/NVD).
