The Elementor Website Builder plugin versions before 2.9.9 contains a persistent cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows users with author privileges to inject malicious scripts through specially crafted custom links in posts. Once stored, this payload executes in the browsers of site visitors viewing the affected content. The vulnerability requires author-level access to exploit but can compromise the security of all users interacting with the website.
