The WP Statistics plugin for WordPress through version 12.6.2 contains a cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows an attacker to inject malicious scripts or HTML code by manipulating the Referer header in a GET request. This flaw was remedied in version 12.6.4, making the update necessary for sites running the affected versions. The vulnerability could be exploited remotely without requiring authentication.
