The Zippy plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads due to missing file type validation in all versions up to, and including, 1.7.0. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with editor-level access and above, to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.

The Zippy plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in versions up to, and including, 1.6.5 via deserialization of untrusted input in the vulnerable 'unzipPosts' function. This allows authenticated attackers with author-level permissions to inject a PHP Object. No POP chain is present in the vulnerable plugin. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it could allow the attacker to delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code.
