SECURITY FINDING

Broken link on the home page

What it is

A link on the home page points to a page that no longer works. Broken links hurt visitor trust and SEO, and — if the URL was reused by someone else — a long-dead link can occasionally be repurposed for phishing.

How to fix it

Update or remove the broken link.

In depth

During our recent security scan of your website, we discovered a broken link on your home page, which means a button or piece of text is pointing to a web page that no longer exists. This matters because broken links frustrate your visitors and can slightly hurt your search engine rankings. To fix this, log into your WordPress dashboard, go to Pages, click Edit on your home page, find the broken link in the text, and either delete it or replace it with a working URL. If you're unsure which link is broken, we can provide you with the specific URL that's not working.
